PLM Implementation and Support Engineer

Description

The Danish company PDM technology, is looking for a skilled Implementation and Support Engineer to join our global Implementation Team in the US.

Our main product is the Bluestar PLM solution for Microsoft Dynamics 365/AX, which connects the engineering data from CAD (Inventor, SolidWorks, Solid Edge) with the enterprise data in ERP. We are working with Microsoft’s cutting-edge technologies and are a technology leader within the industry, with offices in the United States, Germany, Czech Republic and HQ in Denmark, our corporate language is English.

Together with highly specialized colleagues, you will be focusing on solving specific challenges of global companies from different industries and will be a key person in providing technical support to our growing North American customer base and reselling partners. We are serving manufacturers worldwide across industries such as Industrial Equipment & Machinery, Automotive, High Tech & Electronics, Aerospace & Defense, and Medical Devices.

In your role as Implementation and Support Engineer, you will be able to build on your knowledge within ERP & PLM for discrete manufacturing, 3D product configuration, automatic generation of engineering data, and will become well-versed in one of the fastest growing ERP solutions – Microsoft Dynamics.

You will have the ability to influence our product road map by communicating customer requirements from the field directly to our R&D team. We will provide training through sessions with our Danish HQ and from project managers interfacing with current customers.

Technical skills (preferred) & experience

  • 2+ years’ experience with PLM, CAD or ERP system support in a Manufacturing Enviroment
  • CAD systems (eCAD, mCAD)
  • Programming experience (C# or C++)
  • Microsoft Dynamics or other ERP system
  • Engineering documentation control
  • Engineering change management
  • B.Sc. level preferred (Associate’s Degree in IT are also welcome.)
  • Must be authorized to work and live in the US

Primary responsibilities

  • Installation & configuration of Bluestar PLM
  • Training sessions with customers (online & on-site)
  • Application support via phone, e-mail and web primarily
  • Identifying customer needs relative to Bluestar PLM
  • Managing implementation projects from functional scoping to go-live
