About Bluestar PLM
PDM technology is an independent software vendor and Microsoft partner founded in 2001 in Denmark. We specialize in the development, sales and implementation of product lifecycle management (PLM) solution, fully embedded in the Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Finance and Supply Chain Management (Finance and Operations / AX).
We offer Bluestar PLM, built inside the Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&SCM platform. Bluestar PLM seamlessly integrates product data, such as drawings, BOMs, and 3D files from CAD systems, with manufacturing data in Dynamics 365.
Today, we serve manufacturers worldwide across industries such as Industrial Equipment & Machinery, Automotive, High Tech & Electronics, Aerospace & Defense, and Medical Devices. We made it our mission to increase the operational efficiency and profitability of our customers by integrating engineering into the downstream operations through the implementation of our software solutions.
By bringing the PLM users onto the ERP platform, we bridge the gap between engineering and operations and enable the seamless sharing of data and documentation while enabling business process automation across engineering and manufacturing domains. As a result, we are uniquely positioned as the leading provider of PLM solutions for manufacturers running their business on the Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&SCM platform.
Connects operations in the Cloud
Bluestar PLM has evolved alongside Microsoft since the very beginning, and that has continued with the emergence of cloud technology. As one of the first movers, Bluestar PLM was ready for the cloud when Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations was released to the field.
It solves the main issues faced by our customers: inconsistent data and inefficient use of manpower. By automating procedures for clerical work, replacing manual data entry from CAD to ERP systems, engineers can work much more efficiently with the help of Bluestar PLM. This also means less errors between engineering and production teams, resulting in additional time to create and innovate new designs.
Timeline
2001
The foundation of PDM Technology: We were a team of determined manufacturing engineers determined to revolutionize engineering workloads in manufacturing companies. We used our expertise in ERP, CAD and engineering product data management, and sought to add the missing link between engineering and manufacturing by integrating product design, engineering, and ERP, that at that time were merged into one common solution.
2006 -2008
PDM establishes itself with worldwide presence: In 2006, we established subsidiaries in the US, across Nashville, Atlanta. In 2008, we expanded our support capabilities with a subsidiary in Pilsen in the Czech Republic.
2013 -2016
Bluestar PLM is saluted as state-of-the-art solution: Once a year the Danish financial newspaper Dagbladet Børsen celebrates the Danish business growth elite and awards the fastest growing companies with a prize – the so-called Gazelle companies.
2018
PDM opens office in Germany: In 2018, we opened an office in Germany, expanding our customer portal and global presence.
2020
Bluestar PLM is globally distributed via partners and directly: Today, we serve manufacturers worldwide across industries such as industrial equipment & machinery, automotive, high tech & electronics, aerospace & defense, and medical devices and have installed hundreds of systems over the years.
