How do you coordinate the external and internal processes within your Engineering-to-Order (ETO)?  

ETO manufacturers work with complex products which require good coordination, not only within the organization but also with external sub-contractors. It is crucial to coordinate the pre-release of partial (growing) BOMs and items related to complex projects on time to avoid bottlenecks. Adding to the complexity of this challenge, projects such as plant design and machinery requires BOMs/items to be either manufactured or designed by sub-contractors. Such processes demand multi-discipline design support and easy access to product structures within the project in order to ensure efficient production management.
